Wyoming, ON – The County of Lambton is opening 13 publicly-available electric vehicle charging stations across the community.
The stations operate on the FLO network and were installed, in part, through funding totalling nearly $104,000 from Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation.
“These charging stations represent an opportunity for our community to generate a positive impact on local greenhouse gas emissions,” said Lambton County Warden Bill Weber. “This series of installations also substantially expands the local network of charging stations available to electric vehicle drivers in Lambton.”
Charging stations, installed by Preferred Electric of Sarnia, are available at the following County of Lambton facilities:
Enniskillen
Oil City Public Works Depot (1)
Lambton Shores
Lambton Heritage Museum (1)
North Lambton Lodge (2)
Oil Springs
Oil Museum of Canada (1)
Petrolia
Lambton Meadowview Villa (2)
Petrolia Public Works Depot (1)
Plympton-Wyoming
County Administration Building (2)
Point Edward
Lambton Public Health (2)
Sarnia
Marshall Gowland Manor (1)

Although not mandatory, paying for charging at these stations is easiest through the use of a FLO payment card, which links to a user’s individual credit card. 50 FLO payment cards are available on a first come, first-served basis by contacting the County’s Procurement & Project Management Department at 519-845-0801, however it is the cardholder’s responsibility to load and maintain a sufficient card balance.
